When it comes to the auto industry, the future is electric



The next few years are going to be pivotal for the world of electric vehicles. Since hybrid vehicles were introduced about twenty years ago, things have only escalated further, with many brands moving in the direction of an all-electric fleet offering. You might think larger vehicles like commercial trucks would be our greatest risk to the environment, but that isn’t actually the case.



According to JD Power Associates, “Around the world and here in the United States, light-duty vehicles (passenger cars and non-commercial trucks) have been the most significant contributors of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.” That’s somewhat good news for those who thought their delivery service trucks were the biggest contributors.

More and more brands are pushing to be full EV and I am happy to see it but I feel like we need to focus on moving to hybrids first. If we push too fast to all be on EV vehicles, it can end up hurting the economy and end up resulting in more pollution and fuel loss.

Anytime we do a rapid change as a whole, as humanity moves forward it seems like we cause damage. I don't think people are prepared for the damages this change will cause. We really can't tell just yet.

I read about the issues with disposing of solar panels and recycling them. We don't really have a game plan for that either.

I am just trying to be as green as I can without rushing things or making things worst for the planet!

To achieve an electric future, increasing the supply of EV is not enough. We also need to improve the EV charging infrastructure. Not eveyone can afford a home EV charger. In the electric era, power is as important as the petroleum!
