CATL giving Lucid a run for their money! 620+ Mile Range!

CATL, the world's biggest EV-battery maker, unveiled a new battery technology that it claims can deliver more than 620 miles of driving range.

The longest-range electric car in the US, the Lucid Air sedan, can travel 520 miles between charges.

That is insane! I knew about the Lucid Air having the longest range but another 100 miles on top of that? That is just crazy!

I would imagine we will get to a point where batteries in cars are so optimized that 500+ will be the standard.

I had no idea this was even a thing! I remember hearing about the Lucid having the most range but I had thought it was something like 400 miles, 500 is really impressive but now I am mindblown that there is another EV that beats even that out! If I had one of these, I would seldom have to charge it!

They are slowly improving things. It is only a matter of time before they expand the millage in cheaper options as well thanks to better batteries.

I just hope they reduce the charging time for EVs. That seems to be one of the annoying aspects for most people about owning an EV.

Yeah, I hear that! A friend of mine said it takes her EV almost an hour to get it up 30% which is too long of a wait to do on a public charging station. We need more rapid stations.
