Do you know anyone who is 100% against EVs?

My sister's husband says he will never own or drive one. He doesn't care how much they tax him, he is not giving up his petrol-powered vehicle.

We joked about it saying "what if they just ban it out right, how will you fill up then?" and he said he'd go direct to source and stock up. LOL

He is very stubborn. I think most people know at least one person who is not a fan of EVs. Do you know anyone?

Not 100% against it but I have a number of people in my family who think this is a mistake. They feel similar to how I feel in that they are pushing it too fast. We see shortages, they are having trouble getting supplies for batteries, and costs are going up and up... People just can't afford this to happen.

I understand that. I mean I am having a hard time finding an available model that I can drive right away. Many I have looked into are on backorder and used models seem to be flying off the shelf so to speak.

This other forum I am on has a whole section complaining about it. Most people are just petrol heads nagging about pointless stuff but a few have made decent points about the environmental impacts of mining batteries and why more people should be concerned about that. Either way, you won't please everyone.

Oh I know the type. They act like they are too good for EV cars. They seem to think they are still wuss cars or something. I guess this is down to them starting with a bad rep but things are so different now. They need to get with the times.

Yes, unfortunately, I have a few relatives who are very anti-EVs. They're mostly misinformed, but won't listen to any information that contradicts their preferred outcome. Needless to say, we rarely socialize together.
