Maximizing battery lifespan

What are some tips and tricks you've found to extend the battery's lifespan? Since it's so expensive to replace the battery in an EV, I thought I'd read up on ways to improve its longevity. I discovered that routinely charging your car battery overnight can be detrimental to its integrity. Yikes - I'm definitely guilty of that!

I've heard that those fast chargers aren't the best for the health of the battery, but I'm sure we all use them. Sometimes convenience trumps longevity.

I've heard that severe heat and cold can cause the battery to degrade more quickly. Unfortunately, temperature swings are pretty much out of our control. I guess you'd be better off if you can park in a garage, but that's not always possible.

I've read that somewhere, but it doesn't make that much of a difference. I think it's supposed to add like an increase of 10% over an eight-year span. That's hardly worth it to me.
