Elon Musk says Tesla Dog Mode will begin rolling out to Model 3 cars this week.
Tesla cars are about to get a software update which will enable “dog mode”.  The latest update will protect pets from overheating in cars when their owners are not in the vehicle.  The technology is expected to roll out as soon as this week to Model 3 vehicles.
The vehicle will be able to detect when a pet is locked inside and will start the air conditioner to keep the temperature at a safe level.  It is also expected to display a message on the touchscreen to inform passers by that the dog is safe in the vehicle.
Musk often gets tweets from Tesla owners requesting new features for their vehicles.
In October, Josh Atchley asked about the possibility of a Tesla Dog Mode and his wish has come true… well at least in part.  It’s not yet known if the Tesla will play music…
