Unregister Mobile App Outlander PHEV
In this guide we will show you how to unregister the mobile app for your Outlander PHEV.
There are a number of reasons you may want to reset the wifi on your Outlander PHEV.  The main reason is that you no longer have access to the mobile phone that had the Mitsubishi Remote Control App installed on it.  Whether you lost it, have a broken screen or are simply having some issues with the app, following this procedure will help you reset the WiFi on your Mitsubishi so you can register a device again.
Follow these steps to unregister the mobile app for your Outlander PHEV.
NB: All steps should be performed within a total of 30 seconds.

Get in the car and close the Drivers door
Press the power button once to enter ACC mode.  The power button glows orange.  DO NOT press the brake pedal.
Switch on the Hazard Lights

Thanks fo this. Recently changed my mobile to an iPhone 11 Pro and passed my XS on to my wife.

Our phones and the Outlander App stopped working so we have to follow the procedure in your article to reset the WiFi on our PHEV. Took a couple of goes to get it right but it worked out in the end.

Oh Dear! I've just installed the relatively new remote control app on my iPhone and deleted the old one. However, I need to de-register the phone and reregister, but try as I might it doesn't happen! I've followed the guidance note exactly. Some versions of the guide say put on hazard flasher others don't. Neither work for me. When I do the first 10 double presses I get long beep and 2 short beeps, but after 2nd 10 double presses I get nothing at all!

Any further suggestions?

Hi Jan,
When you do the second set of button presses it should be twenty in total. Is this what you are doing?

Aah! No I just realised that the second procedure should be 20 not 10. I'll do it tomorrow but I'm sure that was my problem. Many thanks for pointing it out. By the way, the webpage giving that exact info is very odd and quite difficult to read (at least that's my excuse!)

Thanks

No worries. Thanks for the feedback. I will take a look and see if i can make it a little clearer

Hi, I just purchased a 2020 outlander PHEV used and the dealer didn’t have the WiFi password so o could connect is there any way to reset the WiFi password manually or will I have to go to a dealer to get it done?

The only way to get the WiFi password is from an authorised Mitsubishi dealer or service centre. You will have to bring it in and have them look at it for you.
