USPS to add EVs to fleet

I just read in the paper that the United States Postal Service is adding electric vehicles to its fleet of trucks. It will take time to buy them all, but they should make up 50% of their new fleet when done. That's excellent news.

Oh, good, I'm glad to see that Louis DeJoy increased the number from the measly 10% that he originally promised. I guess that advocacy works after all. This is a big win for those concerned with climate change.

That's good to know. Maybe it will encourage more companies to do the same. I really hadn't given it much thought before, but the EV is perfect for mail delivery. There's lots of idling, and they don't need to drive long distances.
