Was the range changed recently?

A friend of mine has an EV6 and noted that his image range shot up a good 30 miles over what his previous 100% charge stated.

I don't know if they could do this via updates or something else factors in here. Does anyone know if this was changed on Kia's end or if this is just normal?

I think this does similar to what those apps do on your phone where it registered battery health and the expected duration of the charge based on usage. So it will likely keep changing until the car learns his driving habits.

As far as I know, it can change over time from updates and general use, just as @OnlyYou mentioned. Your friend can use an app to check it if he wants to be 100% certain it is accurate.

This is what seems to be recommended the most if you want to double-check things! I think it is the only reliable option right now until cars improve their systems.

They have already come a long way. Just look back to the mid to late 2000's and compare their computers and EV models then to now's models. It is insane how much has changed in such a short period of time. Same with chargers!
